Hope you do go through with hacking it if you haven't already. The only thing that doesn't work is the e-shop due to me changing the NAND, but that was my choice and I didn't need to use the e-shop so it wasn't a big deal for me to not have access to it. Everything still works, Online gameplay (as long as you shut off SpotPass via settings), loading game cart's to your SD card so that you can load them without the cartridge inserted (or you can do the other thing, I'm not saying that I recommend it). I used when I homebrewed my Japanese 3DS and flashed a North American NAND onto it. If you have a US console, don't do a NAND flash as it is not necessary and can prevent you from accessing the e-shop, LUMA3DS can patch out the region for you to be region free and also let you be able to still access the e-shop. Rather than having a roadmap of future updates that shows the game is going to be supported and worked on after launch, like knowing details like the new. But I only did it because I had a Japanese 3DS and didn't want to read Japanese. They probably want to buy Street Fighter 6 arcade addition, which comes with a balance update and 4 new characters for another 60, bringing back the old days of fragmenting the player base. When you get into physically changing the region by flashing the 3DS with a different NAND that's when it can become a bit of a pain if you have the older 3DS. Hacking a 3DS is easy, follow the guide and you'll be fine.
